Olay Body Bar Soap

Soap seems like a pretty mundane and boring item, something necessary but not very exiting. I have never really cared about soap before, or thought much about it; I have always just bought whatever brand and type happens to be on sale at the grocery store. I recently made a temporary move to a very dry climate from a moist one, and for the first time, my regular soap is drying out my skin. Taking fewer showers is not an option, so I browsed the soap aisle to try and find a soap that was less drying for my skin, but would still clean well. I never really liked liquid soaps and body washes, because they don’t make me feel really clean. I found a few bar soaps that claim to have moisturizers in them, so I decided to try Olay Body bar soap, mainly because the brand is one I am familiar with for skin care products, and it was on sale-$5 for 5 bars.

I was skeptical about what difference soap would make to my dry skin, but I did notice a difference even on the first use in the shower. While it still lathered up well, the Olay soap made my legs fell soft even while I shaved them. It rinsed off very well, and my skin felt soft after I dried off. I decided to avoid putting moisturizer on right away to see how moist my skin would be. I did not get the itchy, tight, dry feeling like I often do after a shower. My skin, much to my surprise, felt soft and smooth, as if I had put moisturizer on it. And it lasted too-all day, and I didn’t put moisturizer on until that night before bed. The packaging on this product claims that you will have ‘softer, smoother skin in 7 days,’ and for once, a claim like that is really authentic-in fact, I noticed a difference after just one use. The other feature I like about this soap is that it is a large bar of soap, not a small one, so it will last longer than many soaps. And the fact that I use
less moisturizer means I am actually saving money on skin care products. Olay Body bar soap really does moisturize your skin while cleaning it, and I will be buying it from now on.
